THE Christian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG) has urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to enforce the Electoral Code of Conduct through swift and transparent investigation of violations as an election assessment indicates malpractices in the run up to ward by-elections in parts of the country.
The ECZ is conducting nine ward by-elections in some parts of the country.
CCMG Steering Committee chairperson Andrew Mwenda says parties or individuals found wanting should be sanctioned for violating the Electoral Code of Conduct.
