Power Dynamos took another giant leap toward the MTN Super League title with a dominant 2-0 victory over Mutondo Stars on the road in Ndola. The win, their seventh consecutive triumph, has left the title race all but decided, as the AbaYellow now command the top summit with 54 points, pushing them ever closer to securing the coveted championship.

The match was an exciting encounter that saw Power Dynamos showcase their impressive form. After a solid start, it was Fredrick Mulambia who broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with a beautiful goal, sending the away supporters into raptures. Mulambia’s strike came after some clever build-up play, and the finish left Mutondo Stars’ goalkeeper with little chance.

As the match progressed, Power Dynamos continued to dominate proceedings, dictating the tempo and controlling possession. Their resilience in defense was on full display, and they successfully stifled Mutondo Stars’ attempts to break them down.

In the 31st minute, Power Dynamos added a second goal, this time courtesy of Prince Mumba. A defensive clearance from Mutondo Stars found its way to Mumba, who took full advantage, slotting the ball home to give Power Dynamos a comfortable two-goal lead.

The victory extends Power Dynamos’ unbeaten streak to seven matches, putting them firmly in the driver’s seat of the league title race. With only a handful of matches remaining, their closest challengers continue to drop points, making it increasingly likely that the league leaders will clinch the championship in the coming weeks.

Despite still having some tricky fixtures ahead, Power Dynamos appear to have the momentum and the quality to seal the title. Their strong defensive unit and lethal attacking threat make them an almost unstoppable force, and every game now feels like a step closer to securing the MTN Super League trophy.

With the 2-0 win, Power Dynamos now command the top summit with 54 points, and they will turn their attention to their next fixture, knowing that they are within touching distance of history.

In other matches, Lumwana Radiants played to a 1-1 draw with FC MUZA. The game saw both teams battle hard, but neither could find a winner, sharing the points in a tightly contested affair.

Meanwhile, Nchanga Rangers triumphed 1-0 over Mufulira Wanderers, securing a vital three points as they aim to climb the standings.

Finally, Nkwazi and Forest Rangers played out a goalless draw, with both teams failing to break the deadlock despite some solid attacking play.
