PUBLIC NOTICE

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) PROPOSAL FOR THE PROPOSED KAFUE RIDGE RETAIL CENTRE AND FUEL SERVICE NODE IN SHIKOSWE, KAFUE DISTRICT, LUSAKA PROVINCE

Notice is hereby given in accordance with the Environmental Management Act No. 12 of 2011 and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (Statutory Instrument No. 28 of 1997) that a project proposal has been prepared for the proposed Kafue Ridge Retail Centre.

The proposed project will involve the construction and operation of a retail centre comprising commercial outlets, parking facilities, and a fuel service station along the T2 Lusaka–Livingstone Road in Shikoswe, Kafue District.

The objective of the project is to improve access to retail goods and services, provide fuel facilities, and contribute to local economic development and employment creation within the area.

Members of the public and all interested and affected stakeholders are hereby invited to submit comments, concerns, or objections regarding the proposed development within ten (10) working days from the date of publication of this notice.
