GOVERNMENT must expose perpetrators behind the gassing incidents instead of just mentioning that they are appearing in court, UPND spokesperson Charles Kakoma has said.
Mr Kakoma said Zambians needed to know the identity of the people who were involved and what their motive was.
He said in an interview that there was a lot of allegations on the matter hence the need for the nation to be informed adequately.
Mr Kakoma said it was prudent for the Zambians to know whether the criminals were affiliated to any political party or not.
On Monday, Home Affairs Minister, Stephen Kampyongo, told the Daily Nation that about 26 suspected gassers were appearing in court.
But Mr Kakoma indicated that it was not enough to merely state that the suspected gassers were in court.
Mr Kakoma said that the gassing of people in their houses in the night brought emotions and pain and that such a serious issue could not just “die” like that.
