IGNORE SELF-PROCLAIMED KOLA LEADER, ZAMBIANS URGED

By NOEL IYOMBWA

ZAMBIANS should ignore statements from self-proclaimed leader for Kola Bemba Kingdom Boniface Bwalya because he is not stable, Senior Chief Kaputa has said.

The traditional leader of the Tabwa people of Kaputa said citizens should ignore Mr Bwalya because his statement had no substance.

He was reacting to a statement attributed to Mr Bwalya that only enslaved Bembas will vote for President Edgar Lungu.

But Senior Chief Kaputa said that he once counselled Mr Bwalya when he was House of Chiefs chairperson over his utterances but he never listened.

He noted that the words which Mr Bwalya was uttering have the potential to cause havoc in the country, hence people should not take them seriously.

“I once counselled him when I was chairperson for the House of Chiefs, so people should not take him seriously,” he said.

Mr Bwalya was quoted in one of the tabloids alleging that only those who eat with the PF would vote for President Lungu.

He called on the international community, the international observers especially the United Nations to look into the matter where soldiers have been deployed in the streets.
