Stay fit, says Klings Kangwa

RUSSIA-BASED Zambia Under-20 national team star Klings Kangwa has urged his fellow athletes to stay fit by training from home during the Covid-19 pandemic period.
Klings said there is need for athletes to stay focused as they train from home during the lock-down caused by Covid-19. Klings plays for Alsenal Tula.
Meanwhile, Klings donated foodstuffs worth thousands of Kwacha to families in Lusaka’s Chawama and Kanyama compound.
His donation was handed over by his family members.
The former Buildcon FC captain encouraged players to supplement government’s efforts to reduce poverty by donating to the less privileged.
Klings Junior, young brother to Chipolopolo striker Evans Kangwa, who also features for Arsenal Tula FC in Russia said the ban on public gatherings has had a negative impact on some members of some communities who are struggling to find food.
“Things are bad so we need to share the little we have. If you have more, try to help those who are in need at least you may have little but others have nothing which is why we need to help and that is why I decided to buy some stuff to help the communities to make sure that every obeys the directive from the government to stay home.
“We need to be staying in our homes and listen to government’s guidelines which is important. We need to stay strong and believe in God hopefully soon it will pass by God’s grace,” Kangwa said.
Kangwa has been on the books of Arsenal Tula FC since June last year and has been conducting personal trainings after the suspension of Russian Super League due to the Covid-19 the pandemic.
Klings who is among the three Zambians at Arsenal Tula FC in Russia who may return to league action after May 31, the anticipated time the Russian Premier League is expected to resume.
