TAZARA is operating at a loss and Government is putting in place measures that will see it operate profitably, says Ministry of Communications and Transport Permanent Secretary Misheck Lungu.
Mr Lungu said Tazara was currently transporting 250, 000 metric tonnes of cargo per annum against the required 600, 000 metric tonnes for the company to operate profitably.
