Twelve Premier Futsal League clubs eliminated from the PFL Cup tournament

TWELVE Premier Futsal League clubs have been eliminated from the PFL Cup tournament which saw Automotive FC, CSS Petauke and Kitwe Bullets finish their respective groups unbeaten to qualify for the quarter finals.

Among the eliminated include, Kafue Saints, Lilanda Bullets Christian Academy Pioneer Avengers BS Stars and Veterans FC who finished Group B without a single win.

Automotive FC beat Siavonga Beetles 10-2 in their last group fixture to finish as unbeaten Group A leaders with 12 points while Beetles finished runners up in Group A after beating Kafue Saints 9-5 on Sunday.

In Group B, Kabwe K-Line and Livingstone Pirates marched on to the quarter finals after beating BS Stars 8-2 and 6-0 respectively.

The wins in the last group matches propelled both K-Line and Livingstone Pirates to nine points, two points ahead of unlucky Pioneer Avengers who were topping the group before the final group games.

Chipata Boys FC finished Group C unbeaten with 10-points after thumping CSS Petauke 7-1 in their final group game at Automotive Futsal Arena.

But despite losing the final group game, Petauke marched on to the knock out stage after finishing second in Group C with nine points.

PFL second division club ZANACO FC finished Group D ahead of Premier League clubs TAMANGA Juldan and Monze George to qualify alongside Kitwe Bullets who finished Group D unbeaten following the 11-5 beating of Tamanga Juldan on Sunday.
