FAZ Super League outfit Kabwe Warriors and Bolabet Zambia have signed a three-year sponsorship deal worth $120, 000.
The deal unveiled at Railway Stadium in Kabwe sees Bolabet becoming Kabwe Warriors official sports betting partner and will be giving the club $8, 000 quarterly for three years.
Speaking during the signing of the partnership, Bolabet Zambia General Manager Justine Palmer reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to contribute to the growth of sports in Zambia.
“We are sponsoring more than one team now and when you look at the map of Zambia, we wanted to spread the sponsorship across Zambia not just in Lusaka, we started in Solwezi then we went to Mufulira now it is Kabwe and we have City of Lusaka, and there might be more things to come.
“On Kabwe Warriors, there is a special feeling for this team and we want to be part of that and as Bolabet we want to support the club to achieve the goals of winning the super league and getting back into the Champions League,” Palmer said.
And Kabwe Warriors president Dingwall Heyden hailed Bolabet for coming on board to support the club to go back to its glory days after 30 years of failing to win the Super League.
Heyden also hailed the main sponsors Zambia Railways for the continued commitment to ensure that the club operates independently.
And FAZ Central Province committee chairman Chisanga Pule thanked Bolabet for helping the club with funds which will help it to reach higher heights.
Super League manager Brian Mulenga encouraged clubs to be innovative and not just rely on the league for financial support.
Zambia Railways CEO Clyde Siamachoka who spoke through a representative welcomed Bolabet and reaffirmed Zambia Railways commitment to continue sponsoring Warriors.
