IT IS wrong for some people to accuse me of being a sadist when we are trying to get rid of unplanned structures which were erected without following proper procedures from councils because these are responsible for flooding and chaos across the country, President Lungu has said.

Speaking before departure for Tanzania at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) yesterday, President Lungu said he had a heart for Zambians but that there was need to do things in an orderly manner in order to rectify the challenges that came with lack of planning.

He said it was sad that people were constructing structures anyhow, adding that 50 years of disorderliness and unplanned structures was a long time but said Government was determined to rectify the situation.

“People are building anyhow without permission from the councils.

I am not a sadist (even though) some people are saying Lungu you are killing the people of Zambia. You know, we have travelled and we have seen how planning helps. People are already running helter-skelter due to floods despite the little rain because of not listening but time to correct things is now. So, when people are saying I am a sadist, just tell them that this man is orderly and all he wants is orderliness.
