By BENNIE MUNDABNDO

A CRUSHING defeat awaits those who are stage-managing their “triumphant entry” into their constituencies in 2021 as no amount of psychological self-created popularity will sway Zambians from giving us another vote, Lusaka Province PF youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba has warned.

And Mr. Kamba has charged that Roan MP Chishimba Kambwili’s assertions that there would be a revolution in Zambia after the PF was removed from power only existed in the lawmaker’s head as Zambians knew that he was a bitter politician eyeing plot one.

Speaking to the Daily Nation yesterday, Mr. Kamba said the “cosmetic grand entry” of Bahati Member of Parliament Harry Kalaba into his constituency last week after allegedly ferrying people to the venue was nothing new as the PF had witnessed such manoeuvres before.

He added that if Mr. Kalaba thought he had a lot of support on the ground, it was better for him to resign from the PF and recontest as an independent candidate or on any of the opposition political parties’ ticket.

“When you see people buying supporters to create an impression that they are popular and can stand against us and win an election, just know that they are driven by desperation, greed and hunger for power but all these will be history after the 2021 elections because a crushing defeat awaits them from the PF. As a party, we are not moved by this cosmetic self-created popularity,” Mr. Kamba said.

Regarding Mr. Kambwili’s statement that the PF would soon be kicked out of power Mr. Kamba said Mr. Kambwili was preoccupied with making unfounded allegations against the PF adding that the ruling party would allow him to live in what he described ‘a fool’s paradise’ where he was muscling himself for the presidency even when he had no numbers to usher him into office.

“Tell Mr. Kambwili that Zambians are not foolish that they can vote the PF out based on his wild allegations of corruption because they know that he is making these statements out of hunger for power. While he continues making reckless statements about PF, we will continue making Zambia a better place for all of us to live in and it is from that premise that we will win the 2021 elections.

“There will never be any revolution. Let him continue living in a fool’s paradise by making unfounded corruption allegations while we work. Mr. Kambwili should not even cheat himself that he can be president of Zambia based on the artificial support he is getting from a few hungry followers he has managed to hoodwink because he has no strength to win. We made him who he is today and he must not get excited as he is nothing without the PF,” he said.
