CHISHIMBA Kambwili has continued to work against the party structures and defying the party constitution by giving interviews to the Mast newspaper which has continued fighting government, says Lusaka PF provincial youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba.

In an interview with the Daily Nation, Mr Kamba said, the party was aware that Mr Kambwili had presidential ambitions and advised him to follow the right procedure instead of bringing confusion in the party.

Mr Kamba said, Mr Kambwili being a senior member and central committee member understood the party constitution and the youths would not allow such members to continue bringing confusion and disunity in the party.

He said, Mr Kambwili should behave just like any other member and he should not take advantage of being old or senior member, hence he should follow the right channel unlike continue issuing statements to the media which was in conflict with the party and government.

He said there was no special member in the party and everyone should follow and abide by the party constitution, adding that the youths would not allow Mr Kambwili to continue bringing anarchy and disunity in the party.

He said the PF party was a democratic party and it would not allow members like Kambwili to plant a seed of disunity, but would always follow what the party constitution demanded and not an individual opinion.

“In 2015, members of the Central committee settled for President Edgar Lungu, but Chishimba Kambwili came out so strong that the party needed to go for convention and the party settled for Edgar Lungu who made it victorious. So, as youths of the party with or without convention, we already have a presidential candidate and what we are going to do in Kabwe is simply to elect other leaders,” said Mr Kamba.

He said Kambwili should stop provoking the party members especially the youths because such maneuvers or actions by him would put the youths in an awkward situation towards him.

Mr Kamba said if Mr Kambwili had a problem with the party’s secretary general Davies Mwila, he would have sought audience with him.

Mr Kambwili was quoted in The Mast saying the people calling on the party to rally behind President Lungu’s 2021 candidature were making a short cut.
