NO country can tolerate the breakers of its laws and therefore supporters of the opposition UPND and its incarcerated leader Hakainde Hichilema must have limits in the manner they handle issues of national interests, instead of interfering with the judicial system of the land, says New Congress party leader Peter Chanda.
Mr Chanda noted that the UPND was trying to put to test the calmness and tolerance of the republican President Edgar Lungu with the contempt in deserved.
Mr Chanda said it was shocking that even foreigners such as the South African Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Mmusi Maimane and many other wanted to interfere in the operation of the country’s law but that they would not succeed.
He said UPND supporters were not sincere because they were aware that their leader Hakainde Hichilema broke the law and instead must let the law take its course, rather seeking sympathy at the expense of respecting the sovereignty.
He accused the opposition for having been advocated Armageddon from the word go, saying the party was on record having said they would not accept defeat.
Mr Chanda said Zambia had a responsibility to preserve the country by either denying or allowing entry anybody of concern to enter the country as Zambians continues to protect its sovereignty.
He said Zambians would not allow anyone with the spirit of undermining the authority, saying supporters like South African Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Mmusi Maimane would have been advising the UPND leader if they really meant to support him.
He said it was unacceptable that the UPND had continued to wanting to disturb the nations because of their appetite for chaos in the nation.
Mr Chanda said the Presidency deserved respect from anyone regardless to political affiliation, saying everyone was subject to the laws that govern the country and that no one was above the law. “The issue of Mr Hichilema should be left to the people looking into it because it is the law that is taking its course and people must be sincere enough by not interfering into the matter,” he said.
