LUSAKA Dynamos Football Club says it is ready for the 2017 MTN/FAZ Super division which is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, April 8.

Head coach Patrick Phiri said he was impressed with the way his team had prepared for the new soccer season.

Phiri believes his team will be a force to reckon with as they have prepared adequately for the 2017 MTN/FAZ League.

“We are quite ready for the league. We are comfortable with our squad as you know that we have a team with players from all over the African continent,” he said

Phiri has commended the club’s management for providing the team with the required resources as the club prepares for the league.

He noted that the club’s management had made it possible for the team to acquire international players from around the world.

“We would like to thank management for giving us the opportunity to prepare adequately. They have provided us with the needed resources. We went to Livingstone where we played some friendly games,

“Our wish was to go and set up camp in the Copperbelt and that did not happen but thanks to our management again they managed to come up with the four clubs tournament which was very helpful in our preparations for the league which resumes next weekend,” Phiri said.

Dynamos are scheduled to kick off their campaign in the 2017 MTN/FAZ Supper League with a date against Power Dynamos in a week one fixture to be played at the National Heroes Stadium.

Dynamos survived relegation through a constitution amendment process which enabled the 2017 MTN/FAZ Super division to have 20 teams for the first time in the league’s history.
