IGNORE the cartel-sponsored political parties that are formed out of frustrations, vengeance and rebellion, because they will have nothing to offer to Zambians, the opposition New Congress Party (NCP) has charged.

NCP president Peter Chanda said he had information that the recently expelled disgruntled PF central committee members with the support of the cartel have now regrouped and are contemplating forming a political party with the hope of undermining and weakening the ruling party.

Pastor Chanda said he had information that the breakaway political party that will soon be launched is bankrolled by some external financiers (cartel) who were channelling their money through those PF members who felt sidelined to gain national support.

In an interview with the Daily Nation yesterday, Pastor Chanda said the new political party was going to be formed against a ‘‘backdrop of a chain of lies’’ because the known leaders of the same party had declared their loyalty to the ruling party.

He, however, urged Zambians to ignore the manoeuvres of infamous cartel, saying the political party would be formed out of frustrations, vengeance and rebellion, with nothing to offer to Zambians as their main aim was to destabilise the ruling party.

“We are aware of a new political party that is bound to be formed out of rebellion by the disgruntled expelled PF members of central committee with the support of the cartel.

“But as a party, we urge the Zambians to ignore this cartel-sponsored political party which is bound to be formed because it will have nothing to offer to Zambians as it will be formed out of frustrations, vengeance and rebellion

“So those who want to join another political party, I invite them to come and join the New Congress Party as we will soon be registering new members than join a rebellious party,” Pastor Chanda said.

He said Zambians were in safe hands under President Edgar Lungu, adding that there was need to support him during his term, which runs up to 2021. And the NCP leader also charged that his party suspected that some bitter and frustrated politicians were behind the destructive activities just to try and cause confusion in Zambia.

He said that it was a known fact that the acts of arson the country experienced in the recent past were a politically orchestrated ploy by an opposing group to undermine security and create anxiety among Zambians. “We believed the acts of sabotage recently experienced in the country were perpetrated by some frustrated and bitter politicians with the support of the cartel just to gain political mileage at the expense of people’s property with the hope of negatively influencing citizens to revolt against the government,” Pastor Chanda said..
