PATRIOTIC Front Kafue youths have rubbished reports suggesting that the district members were unhappy with President Lungu’s leadership.

The district leadership has maintained that the person quoted in the Mast  was not even known by them and could therefore not represent the Party.

“WE would like to disassociate ourselves from malicious media reports suggesting that youths from Kafue are annoyed with the President because he had not done anything to develop the country. Furthermore, there is no record to show that those youths quoted are our members,” PF district chairperson Kelvin Simukanzye.

But in an interview in Kafue yesterday, Mr. Simukanzye rubbished the story and challenged the Mast to substantiate it’s claim that the person they interviewed was a party member saying the party had perused all its records in all party structures and that the two named youths did not exist.

He said the party in the district had a procedure on who was eligible to issue media statements and that contrary to a picture portrayed by the tabloid that there was discontentment in the district on how the party was running, the PF had remained resolute and united.

“The youth who have been purported to have issued the statement on behalf the youths is neither here nor there. She does not exist in all party structures starting from the sections to the district and she does not exist in our party register.

“In Kafue, we are more united than ever before and we are disturbed with such a statement which does not have the blessing of the party and is completely false. We are in total support of President Edgar Lungu and our SG Davies Mwila and we will not tolerate people peddling lies because contrary to the statement, Kafue has received its own share of development,” Mr. Simukanzye said.

He warned that the party would not take it kindly on individuals who were paid to tarnish the image of the party and said the district leadership would sternly deal with those who were masquerading as party members if found.

Meanwhile, constituency chairperson Dennis Kaeza said the district was not interested in the bickering that had rocked some parts of the country as it was preoccupied with mobilization.
