Just tell us what you can do for Zambians

Editor,

Opposition parties and those trying to bribe our minds in the name of corruption are wasting their time. There is no government particularly in Zambia that has never been accused of corruption. If anything, all of them are corrupt minded. Dr. Chiluba accused Dr. Kaunda of the same, late Dean Mu’ngomba including the FDD accused Dr. Chiluba over the Zamtrop account. Equally Mr. Sata pointed fingers at the Mwanawasa family tree. HH did it to late Mr. Sata and fingers are on our current President EC Lungu. Whatever development, it is corruption, talk of fire tenders, road development, schools, health facilities and more. RB was accused of corruption on mobile hospitals and hearses. This shows that this song is extravaganza.

Don’t chase pupils on account of fees

Editor,

We commend Luanshya Mayor Nathan Chanda for his defence of pupils who are chased from school for failure to pay school fees.  We as Itezhi Tezhi Candlelight Community Response Organization (ICCRO) have been pushing for this at district level but the progress is very slow. Because of victimisation they are discouraged resulting in school dropouts, early marriages, teenage pregnancies, alcohol and subsistence abuse, treetops children to mention but a few, perpetuating the viscous circle of poverty in our country. Our argument is that children don’t pay for themselves but its parents or guardians who fail to pay for various reasons. Schools should come up with amicable measures to settle the bill while children are allowed to attend school. Those willing to pay in kind they should be encouraged to do so

 Let love reign in Zambia

Editor,

Indeed, Zambia is a blessed and favoured nation with people of great calibre. Nevertheless, I have this burden in my heart to preach love, peace and unity to our beloved country mother Zambia. We have all seen how hatred and anger is increasing in our country day by day. People are killing each other for simple issues which can be settled peacefully. When it comes to families, parents are killing their children and also children killing their parents.  This is the time to reflect and ask ourselves to say, how is the condition in Zambia going to be fifteen years from now? I humbly encourage every meaningful Zambian to love one another regardless of race, tribe, religion and political affiliation. I thank you all and God bless Zambia.

Magistrate Malumani exercised leniency on Njoya T’s wife

Editor,

That’s the mistake people make, getting wrong advise. These judges are also on Facebook and live within our communities. Magistrate Greenwell Malumani was so lenient by saying “5yrs simple imprisonment”. For the sake of readers, child assault carries 5yrs minimum just like defilement carries 15yrs minimum {refrain}. What Njoya T’s wife must expect next is something she won’t handle, but all the best.

To the National Development Minister

Editor,

If the 7NDP is to be useful, you should include enhancement of productive capacity of our economy, which is primary production. Secondary production is ok. Tertiary is also ok. Sadly, your PF has paid more attention to aids to trade, like roads when primary production which can use the roads is dying. The most important primary production in Zambia is agriculture. I hope your 7 NDP has taken care of that.

 –Some step mothers are junk

Editor,

Some step mothers are junk that create a traumatized society. It’s not only  Njoya T’s wife, others are too luck not to have been exposed too early. All that a child can be, a woman, biological mother or not as long as it’s within that child’s guardianship, she has much to play. She is just but one of the lessons of bad parents in society

KCM should work on conditions of service

Editor,

What Konkola Copper Mines should know is that High productivity is not a problem. You improve workers’ conditions of service, substance allowance, weekday overtime and all their entitlements that you have removed from them. Your dream target will be a walk over. What is 400 000 tonnes with this dedicated, experienced team you have?
