THE trade mission to China by ten Zambian ministers was called for and fully sponsored by the Chinese government, PF deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya has said.
Fr Bwalya explained that the mission was undertaken because Beijing wanted to engage the ministers in corroborative business ventures on behalf of its provinces.
Speaking in Lusaka yesterday, Fr Bwalya said the Chinese officials wanted to showcase industries and big concerns in China with which they could deal with at both civic, public and private levels.
He said it was therefore unfair to criticize the delegation which some Zambians accused of travelling in first class using government money.
“No money was spent by the Zambian government as the trip was fully sponsored by China,” he said
He called on the Zambian public to criticise with information and not simply chastise for the sake of doing so
