AFTER sending head coach Kelvin Kaindu on a three weeks forced leave with the aim of improving  performance in the MTN Super League, Nkana’s struggles continued as the Kitwe giants suffered another disappointing 1-0 defeat to fellow relegation bound Lumwana Radiants.

The Week-19 rescheduled fixture played at Lumwana Grounds in Solwezi saw the Kitwe giants who are the defending Champions struggle to impress against Radiants who are also fighting to survive relegation.

A lone goal from Emmanuel Manda was all Lumwana Radiants needed to collect maximum three points to move to 15th position on the Super League table with 24 points.

It was a double win for New Lumwana Radiants gaffer Bilton Musonda who guided Radinats to a 2-1 win over Buildcon FC before stunning Nkana.

The defeat in Solwezi relegated Nkana to second from bottom with 21 points, ten points ahead of relegation bound Kitwe United who anchor the Super League table with 11 points.

Meanwhile, Forest Rangers who are reportedly scheduled to unveil Beston Chambeshi as head coach reclaimed third position on the Super League table after they completed a double over Power Dynamos following a 2-0 win at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

An own goal from White Mwanambaba and a second half headed strike from super sub Daily Echaba gifted Forest Rangers the crucial win which propelled them to 38 points.

In other Super League matches played yesterday, Buildcon stunned Kabwe Warriors 2-0 to move into fourth position on the log.

Gerald Chisha and Musonda Kapembwa were the heroes of the day for ‘Team Kopala’ as their goals propelled them to 37 points.

At Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka, two goals from Christopher Zulu and Bernard Kumwenda ensured that the Police Spornsored Birds flew high after beating rusty Red Arrows 2-0.
