UPND ALLIANCE WRITES OFF PF- NO REBRANDING WILL HELP FORMER RULING PARTY

By OLIVER SAMBOKO

NO amount of effort and rebranding will make the PF bounce back to power because the minds of Zambians are still fresh on how it mismanaged the affairs of the country, says UPND Alliance spokesperson Leslie Chikuse.

He said in an interview that the UPND Alliance is not bothered by the PF propaganda meant to deceive the people so that they can vote them back into power.

Mr Chikuse said the desperation by PF is very alarming and leaves much to be desired especially that it almost destroyed the country’s democracy.

He said while the UPND Alliance wants democracy to flourish through having a sound and reliable opposition, it’s too early for the PF to think that it can bounce back to power.

“What PF leaders are doing is not only shameful but an act of stubbornness arising from a long conduct of abuse of authority. We all know that PF is driving a propaganda to return to power,” Mr Chikuse said.

He said Zambians still remember how the PF mismanaged the country through corruption, sponsored violence and propaganda against the opposition, especially the UPND.

“It’s sad that the PF is now abusing the freedoms given to every Zambian by the UPND Alliance government which they themselves did not allow during their time in power.

“The PF ensured at all cost to silence the voice of the people with intent to be untouchable and amass wealth” he said.

Mr Chikuse also said Zambians have not forgotten how the PF while in power pushed the dangerous bill 10, that almost plunged the country to become a one-party state by coming up with very well sugar-coated bills that could have shifted powers to cabinet of making and changing laws.
