FORMER President Edgar Lungu’s aides planning to betray him by leaking information to the UPND should think twice and ensure that they stick with him through thick and thin, Zambia Republic Party (ZRP) President Wright Musoma has said
Mr Musoma said he had received information that some of the former aides were plotting to implicate the former head of State by giving incriminating information to the UPND.
He said the move was cowardice because that was a person who they worked closely with and for them to turn around and want to betray him was unthinkable.
“I have received reports that two former aides of President Lungu are working with the current government to betray their former boss,” he said.
Mr Musoma said a real man should not implicate their former bosses regardless of their situation and that it was evident that they wanted to implicate the former head of state in order to save their skin.
He said there was need to emulate the likes of Dickson Jere who had managed to stick to President Rupiah Banda even the time he was in deep waters.
Mr Musoma said that he hoped that the aides would rescind their decision to implicate Mr Lungu and whatever the case stick with him most especially now when he was in distress.
He said that it was disheartening that people he entrusted were the ones who were backstabbing him and working with people that wanted to crucify him.
