MOST opposition UPND Members of Parliament (MP) are resistant to development and have failed to construct even a toilet in their constituencies despite being hard core critics of the Patriotic Front  (PF) government and its development agenda, ” Kwacha MP Joe Malanji has said.

Mr Malanji said some UPND MPs who have been in parliament for more than 15 years have delivered nothing in their constituencies apart from exhibiting bitterness through hate speech and attacking President Edgar Lungu and his government

Mr Malanji was speaking yesterday during a rally at Changanamai grounds in Kwacha township which was attended by PF national chairman for mobilisation Richard Musukwa, PF Kitwe Mayoral candidate Mpasa Mwaya,  Kamfinsa constituency candidate Christopher  Kangómbe and Kitwe district PF chairman Evaristo Chilufya among others.

Mr Malanji said the confusion which had rocked the UPND and the resignation of notable personalities from the party to join the ruling PF was a clear indication that Mr hichilema had failed to provide leadership in the party

He said he was grateful to the people of Kwacha constituency for their support in the five years he has been MP and was asking for another term from them.

And speaking later, PF national chairman for mobilisation Richard Musukwa said it was utter nonsense for the UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to claim that he will fix the economy when he brought misery to the communities of Luanshya after the privatisation of the mine in the area

“These UPND people don’t mean well for this country.  They are just liars misleading people that ‘Bally’ will fix it. What is he going to fix which he failed to fix in Luanshya,” he said.
