PF 38 ADOPTED COUNCILLORS PLEDGE TO WORK WITH COMMUNITIES

ALL the 38 councillors contesting  local  government seats in Lusaka district have pledged  to work with people in their respective communities to foster development.

But only three females have since  be adopted by the PF at ward level against 35 males.

In an interview with some candidates who filed in their nominations papers last week,  Lackson Banda constesting on Kamwala ward who is a businessman said, he would like to work on the roads that were in a bad state especially in Kamwala shoppoing centre.

Mr Banda said, he will however engage the community so that they lob for assistance from businessmen that do business in Kamwala shopping area.

Adrian Banda who has  been re-adopted on Ngwerere ward, said he would still not work in isolation , but to ensure that he engaged the local people at community level.

Roma ward, Maxwell Mwango who has replaced Chilando Chitangala now contesting mayorl, said he will ensure that the community participated fully at ward level because they were the major stakeholder.

In Chaisa ward , Ruth Phiri has been maintained, said she will ensure that women are considered first because they were the mostly affected in when it comes to leadership involvement.

Mtendere have picked on a female candidate Lydia Sakeni, who has replaced Chomba Kasongo said , she would focus on uplifting the poor living standards of the vulnerable people in the ward.

Mpulungu ward, Chileshe Mwango , would work with the youths in area as most youths have resorted into illicit activities such as beer drinking among other.

Borniface Bwalya for Raphael Chota ward, promised to  engage both the women and the youths to work together and also to implement some of the programe at ward level without leaving anyone behind.

Others that have be-redopted is Patrick Salubusa on Kapwepwe ward, Annie Chinyanta Matero, Sylvester  Mulenga Munali,  Kalinganga, Joseph Chibeka , Patrick Chisanga for Chainda and  Silwizya  ward Tarcisious Ndolesha.
