RESIDENTS of Sesheke are shunning to take up the Covid-19 jab vac-cine.
The residents are giving all sorts of reasons not to take up the jab.
Some of the residents said in Sesheke that vaccine has side effects and that it was meant to wipe out the black race.
One of the residents, Matale Likukela, said the vaccine was not good for the black race living in Af-rica.
Mr Likukela said that a lot of people in villages had no information on Covid-19 and that those with information could have at one time visited the urban areas.
“Us here do not have the information on this vaccine and we are told it has a lot side effects…so why should we get it when we don’t know its advantages,” he said.
A further survey conducted by the Daily Nation in the district showed that there was very little in-formation on the vaccine.
It further revealed that there had not been much sensitization by the district health office in the communities.
