VIABLE projections that were started by the Patriotic Front will not be abandoned, the UPND has said. UPND Presidential spokesperson Anthony Bwalya said the party was not getting into power to destroy all the projects that were started by the Patriotic Front “but we need to evaluate them and ensure there were right procedures.”
In an interview, Mr Bwalya said that contrary to reports that the incoming government plans to abandon some projects, there are some fantastic projects that the PF undertook hence the need to evaluate them to ensure that there is a benefit to the people.
He said that the UPND appreciates some of the projects that were undertaken by the PF hence it has an obligation to continue but the government has to look at critical components of the projects. “We are not here to destroy what they started but we will evaluate the projects to ensure that they have value for the money because they have done beautiful projects.
“They started fantastic projects and we have an obligation to continue with these projects but we have to look at critical components of the projects and to ensure that there is best value for money,” Mr Bwalya said.
