ZAMTEL BOSS ELECTED TO CIMA COUNCIL

ZAMTEL board chairman Danny Luswili has been elected to serve on the Council of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) United Kingdom (UK) as a board member.

Mr Luswili would represent Africa on the CIMA Council which is the highest policy making body of the professional body. He will represent West, Central and Southern Africa and was the first Zambian professional Accountant to be elected to this position. The term of office would run from the close of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June 2021 up to the close of the AGM in June 2024.

 Mr Luswili is a Fellow member of the Institute (FCMA) with over thirty years’ experience in various companies. Mr Luswili currently chairs the boards of Zamtel and the Copperbelt University Council (CBU) and is also a Board member of FINCA Zambia and sits on the Membership Committee of the Zambia Institute of Directors (IoDZ).

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), founded in 1919, was the world’s leading and largest professional body of Management Accountants represented in over 166 countries with a membership of over 600,000 members and students.
