Dear Editor,
MY last visit to National Heroes Stadium a few weeks ago broke my heart. The place is in a total mess!
Bathrooms falling apart, bulbs taken out while most accessories are falling off! This is a 10-year old stadium that looks like it was built in 1964.
The place is dirty. There is a full-time manager though who is struggling to keep the place intact as he does not have constant funding.
Maybe we should just give it away to the private sector…
And now I am told by those in the know that our Heroes Stadium may not pass the FIFA/CAF certification to hold international matches!
In my days at school, we were taught Preventive Maintenance…
