FORMER Gwembe Member of Parliament Brian Ntundu has expressed optimism that the new government will deliver development in Gwembe District which he says has lagged behind for many years.
Mr Ntundu said, looking at the new dawn manifesto and their pronouncements so far, the Zambian citizenry should look forward to better lives.
He has told the Daily Nation that priority for Gwembe should be improving the road network which he said is in a bad state.
Mr Ntundu said that for a very long time, the road has been in a deplorable state and has been neglected by the previous regimes despite many calls for the people in the district.
He believes that if the road network is improved, it will attract investors and also ease the lives of the people of Gwembe especially those doing business.
The former lawmaker advises the elected leaders not to forget the people at the grassroots as they foster development in the country.
