LUNDAZI MP ASKS FOR SCHOOLS

By Etambuyu Katota

Lundazi Member of Parliament BRENDA NYIRENDA has appealed to government to consider prioritizing areas that did not benefit from the construction of schools previously as the construction of new ones commences.

Ms. NYIRENDA says Lundazi constituency is among Constituencies that has NOT had any new school built since 1964.

She says the announcement that government has acquired a loan from the World Bank to build high schools in provinces must be commended as more Zambians will have access to education.

Ms. NYIRENDA was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka today.

Finance Minister SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE in a ministerial statement to parliament last week announced that government has acquired a loan from the World Bank for the construction of schools in provinces that were previously neglected.
