FORMER UPND COUNCILLOR ClOBBERED BY UPND SYMPATHISERS AT A NIGHT CLUB

Former Monze Urban Ward Councilor Buumba Pandwe was early Sunday morning attacked by six suspected UPND cadres at the New Tooters Club in Monze .
Monze was a hive of activity today as it hosted the Samu Lya Moomba Traditional Ceremony which was graced by President Hakainde Hichilema.
Recounting his ordeal, Pandwe said the incident started after a UPND cadre, Kelvin Cornhill insulted and called Buumba stupid for defecting to the PF prior to the August 12 elections at the Club.
Pandwe narrated that within a short time, another group of suspected UPND cadres consisting Lawrence Mwale, and another one only identified as Tulu with two others who came from Lusaka, started clobbering him with bottles.
The former civic leader said the beating had left him with a deep wound on the forehead.
But Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said he was yet to get the full details on the matter as all the commanders in the Province were attending to Presidential duties.
President Hakainde Hichilema was in Monze District to attend to the Samu Lya Moomba Ceremony.
