IF you won your seat dubiously, do not blame the judiciary or the ruling UPND if your seat is nullified, the ruling party in Southern Province has said.
Provincial chairman Billiard Makwembo has observed that the judiciary was discharging its duties independently without any undue influence from the executive.
“The judiciary this time is independent on its own, we don’t come in it’s operations… If at all you got your seat dubiously, the law will visit you and this why in UPND we will continue preaching about being transparent in whatever one does,” he said
“Whether your seat is nullified or not but to those who were declared winners you should account for how you got it,” Mr Makwembo said
He said that if at all some PF members are crying foul over their seats being nullified, then they are not being genuine and fair.
Mr Makwembo claimed that in the era of the PF regime, nearly all UPND seats were petitioned and some nullified.
He said that the UPND will allow the three arms of government discharge their duties independently without any interference.
“Let them continue crying foul because they are not straight but Zambians are happy with the UPND government,” he said.
