EIGHT UPND cadres have denied killing two PF members in Lusaka’s Kanyama compound last year.
The eight are Samson Mumba, Kelvin Banda, John Mwanza and Njekwa Puteho. Others are Reuben Nalikana, John Bwalya and two Juveniles.
They are accused of murdering Danny Kasongo and Davies Kabunda on July 30, 2021 after raiding a PF camp in Kanyama’s
Mbasela area.
The accused persons who last week
failed to take plea twice in the Lusaka High Court due to non-legal representation, have acquired the services of A. Mbambara Legal Practitioners.
When the matter came up yesterday for plea, the eight pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder.
Judge Charles Zulu adjourned the matter to January 20 and 21 for commencement of trial.
