More call for disbanding ACC

THE Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC) must be overhauled to restore its integrity, says Economic Freedom Fighters President Kasonde Mwenda.
The ACC has recently come under the spotlight with Lumezi Independent Member of Parliament Munir Zulu having vowed to move a private member’s motion to disband it and instead create the Zambia Bureau of Investigations.
Mr Mwenda said the ACC and Zambia Police do not have the capacity to fight white collar crimes hence the need to have an overhaul and the officers retrained.
He has expressed concern at what he has termed as double standards from the new dawn administration on the corruption fight as some cases and allegations of corruption under the current regime are not given attention.
