Shonga returns to the PSL

STRIKER Justin Shonga is happy to have returned to the South African Premier Soccer League after signing a two-year deal with Sekhukhune United FC.

Shonga joins the South African club after parting ways with Ismaily following a contractual dispute.

In an interview after he was unveiled as Sekhukhune United new signing, the former Nkwazi striker said he was excited to return to South Africa where he previously represented Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City.

“It’s an awesome feeling to be back in the DStv Premiership,” the Zambian forward said following his return.

“My main priority is to help the team to accumulate more points going forward to finish in a respectable position. I will work hard to get my form back so that I can contribute immensely to the team’s success.”

Songo is among the three players acquired by PSL newcomers Sekhukhune United who have signalled their intent in the transfer window with the signing of Evans Rusike and LuckyBoy Mokoena.

“Sekhukhune United Football Club are delighted to announce the signings of the following players: Justin Shonga from Egyptian side Ismaily SC, Evans Rusikefrom SuperSport United and defender LuckBoy Mokoena from TS Galaxy,” the club announced yesterday.
