Peace and stability can advance growth – HH

There is need to promote peace and stability to reunite citizens and advance development, President Hakainde Hichilema has said.

President Hichilema said it was therefore important for all citizens to embrace one another across divides.

He said Zambians should put aside differences and focus on things that promote unity and inclusiveness.

President Hichilema was speaking yesterday during a church service at Lusaka’s Chilenje Seventh Day Adventist church where he and First Lady Mutinta joined congregants to worship.

The President also encouraged Kabwata Member of Parliament Andrew Tayengwa to embrace everyone in the constituency including these who did not vote for him.

He told Mr. Tayengwa to also be visiting groups of residents, where necessary, using platforms like church gatherings.

And SDA Woodlands Conference President Pastor Daniel Chunga thanked President Hichilema for taking the decision to reunite couples that have been apart due to work.

Dr Chunga also commended President Hichilema for promoting unity in the country, saying it is now evident that the country is living under the One Zambia One Nation motto. In his sermon, Dr. Chunga urged church members to put God at the centre of their lives. – ZNBC.
