UPND youths have insisted that they will stage a peaceful protest once granted permission by the Zambian Police Service following the resistance by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Ms Lillian Siyuni, to resign.
Lusaka Province chairperson Anderson Banda said they felt the conduct of the DPP did not represent the interest of the people.
He added that it would be prudent for the DPP to step down and let others take up the role since she had failed.
Mr Banda claimed that Ms Siyuni was a danger to the fight against corruption which had led to the failure of most unanswered violence cases connected with the Patriotic Front
Mr Banda urged Ms Siyuni to resign because she was allegedly not handling national matters according to UPND expectations.
