By MICHAEL MIYOBA

FORMER Zesco United striker Lazarus Kambole has been unveiled as a new Young African Sports Club Striker after signing a two year deal with the Tanzanian giants.

Kambole recently parted ways with South African giants Kaizer Chief forcing a move to Yanga where he will link up with country mate and former Zanaco striker Rodger Kola.

Kambole who joins the 2021/22 Tanzanian Champions will also link up with country mates, Larry Bwalya, Cletus Chama and Moses Phiri who features for Yanga’s rivals Simba SC.

It is not the first time Kambole attracted the interest of Young Africans, who missed out on his signature when he opted for Chiefs in 2019.

Kambole was released by Chiefs together with Bernard Parker, Samir Nurkovic, Leonardo Castro, Lebogang Manyama, Daniel Cardoso, goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi and Dumisani Zuma joins Yanga following three difficult seasons at Amakhosi, where he struggled for game time.

His move from Zesco United to Chiefs saw him score just two Premier Soccer League goals in three seasons as he struggled for game time.

The limited playing opportunities at Chiefs also led to the 28-year-old losing his place in the Zambia national team.

Meanwhile, Kansanshi Dynamos has released four players who includes two former Zesco United players Lazarus Phiri and Kasashi Lupiya.

According to the clubs secretariat, Kansashi have also released defenders John Mwengani and Enock Chingwele whose contracts have not been renewed.
