LEAVE ACC ALONE, PF TOLD
By VITA BANDA
A non governmental organisation has dismissed claims by Patriotic Front Chilubi Member of Parliament Mulenga Fube, to disband the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Community Action against Corruption (CAAC), chief executive officer Brighton Tembo says the claims are misplaced and if entertained can lead to the psychological and political victory for the people who plundered and looted state resources.
Mr Tembo said his organisation knows the challenges ACC is facing in prosecuting corruption cases and low levels of integrity by some officers, but that, should not warrant disbanding the commission.
He said Zambians needed to rally behind the efforts the new dawn administration is making to prosecute and bring justice those who had stolen from Zambians.
Mr Tembo said the suspension of suspected corrupt officers at ACC was a good move, which showed that, positive change was taking place.
