Don’t derail corruption fight, says Chief Chikwanda
Chief Chikwanda of Mpika has disputed claims by sections of society that the fight against corruption by the new dawn administration is tribal and targeted.
Chief Chikwanda says government should not to be derailed that a certain section of society is opposing the corruption fight by alleging that they are being fought.
The traditional leader says whenever someone commits a crime, they are not committing it on behalf of any region, but breaking the law in their individual capacity.
Chief Chikwanda says he is of the view that once people start seeing the fruits of the fight against corruption by this administration, they will have confidence.
He has further called on investigative wings to ensure that they expedite the prosecution of pending cases in court involving those who have been accused of plundering public resources.
