We want a postmortem to be undertaken to ascertain what has really caused the death of Mr. Tutwa Ngulube, Patriotic Front (PF) Chairperson for Information and Publicity Raphael Nakacinda has demanded

Mr Nakacinda said this was because the PF was concerned with the manner in which Mr Ngulube passed on and further insisting that the postmortem be carried out by an independent forensic pathologist to ensure professionalism and avoid the results from being tampered with in order to ascertain the cause of death.
He however said this will only be done with the permission of the family of the deceased.
“I sincerely hope that the family will not take our request as political rhetoric and take seriously our request where we are insisting that the samples that were taken to examine what was wrong be utilized to ascertain cause of death,” said Mr Nakacinda
Mr Nakacinda said the demands for a postmortem came because of the suspicious manner in which Mr Ngulube had died especially after Mr Ngulube had three days ago complained about some people threatening his life through messages from within Lusaka and others from people in Kabwe.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Brian Mundubile has expressed shock over the sudden and untimely demise of former PF Kabwe Central MP Tutwa Ngulube.
“It is with profound sorrow and shock that I have learnt of the untimely demise of my learned colleague and loyal member of the Patriotic Front (PF), Tutwa Sandani Ngulube,” he said.
Mr. Mundubile who is also PF Presidential Hopeful said he received the news of Mr. Ngulube’s death with a deep sense of shock especially that it came when the party was awaiting his arrival to make a presentation to the PF legal team.
And UPND Secretary General Batuke Imenda said the UPND had received the news of the untimely demise of the former Kabwe Central Member of Parliament with shock and disbelief.
Mr Imenda said Mr Ngulube ably played his role as not only a politician but also a citizen who wanted the best for his country.
He said the country still remembers how the late former lawmaker almost single handedly led the infamous Bill 10 Constitutional amendment crusade which he did because he believed in it.
Mr Imenda also conveyed a message of condolences to the PF as well as the Law Association of Zambia and the entire legal fraternity.
Meanwhile, the sudden death of Patriotic Front Member Tutwa Ngulube has left Zambians reeling with shock.
Mr Ngulube had been online posting on his Facebook page just an hour before news of his demise broke.
The internet has been awash with messages of his death as well as reposting of his posts, mostly about the failures of the ruling UPND party.
PF Member of the Central Committee and Chairperson of Legal Affairs George Chisanga said Mr Ngulube has been talking about a threat to his life for the past seven months but unfortunately the police were turning the tide on him.
Mr Chisenga also said it was unfortunate that Mr Ngulube was not given attention by the police most of the time when he reported about his life being threatened and that is why the circumstances of his death were very suspicious.
Mr Chisanga said the death of Mr Ngulube raises a lot of suspicion despite the circumstances not being known.
He also said he had been working on amendments to the PF party constitution with Mr Ngulube for the past one week and their last meeting was on Thursday.
And Mr Chisanga said the death of Mr Ngulube has left a very big gap in the PF Central Committee because Mr Ngulube was a very important member of the legal team.
“It’s very difficult to be part of a legal team when your party is in opposition and it takes a great deal of sacrifice. Tutwa was one of the young men sacrificing a great deal for the PF as he did a lot of work for the PF over the petitions travelling around the country defending the PF actively in all the cases that he was working on,” said Mr Chisanga.
He said Mr Ngulube’s death was a loss not just to the PF but the nation.
And when contact for a comment, UPND National Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa could not hide his shock at the news of the demise of Mr Ngulube.
He said the sudden death of Mr Ngulube was a sad development and further conveyed words of condolences to the family of Mr Ngulube and the Patriotic Front party.
Mr Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba said Mr Ngulube’s timely death has robbed the country and our party the Patriotic Front of an astute member and legal counsel of high regard and a democrat.
“During this period of our party convening to choose a party President, Mr Ngulube’s guidance would have been highly sought and we shall surely miss him,”Mr Mwamba said.
And Mansa Central member of Parliament, Dr Chitalu Chilufya, also expressed shock at the sudden death of Mr Ngulube and prayed for strength for the bereaved family. He said Mr Ngulube had a critical role in the party which would be missed.
Economic and Equity Party president Chilufya Tayali has described Mr Ngulube as “a courageous man who looked in the face of a lion when it was roaring to devour me. I am really broken.”
And former president Edgar Lungu posted on his page, “its difficult to mourn you Tutwa . This is painful, I am short of words.”
Patriots for Economic Progress president Sean Tembo has demanded for a probe into Mr Ngulube’s death.
“Untimely demise needs to be investigated,” he said in a Facebook post.
National Democratic Congress president Saboi Imboela also expressed shock at the death of Mr Ngulube.
