Zambia having the worst cost of living in decades – Msoni

By NATION REPORTER

ZAMBIA is experiencing the worst cost of living in as many decades courtesy of the United Party for National Development (UPND), All People’s Congress (APC) president Nason Msoni has said.

Mr Msoni said at today’s prices, thousands of Zambians were going without food, warning that the crisis was bound to get worse in the coming year as the FISP programme has been mishandled.

Mr Msoni has accused President Hakainde Hichilema of having plunged the country into food insecurity thereby potentially inflicting and rendering many Zambian families into food casualties in 2023.

He said in totality, the overall performance of government remained below par and uninspiring and that Zambians should be ready for harder and harsh economic times.

Mr Msoni said that the UPND needed to know that political mandate was not absolute but relative to the performance and subject to delivering deliverables to our people. He said the mandate was never about starving the people but improving their quality lifestyles and their economic circumstances.
