UPND vindicated over democracy summit-Imenda

UPND was vindicated from LGBTQ allegations that came with by co- hosting the Summit for Democracy and the visit of the US vice president Kamala Harris without those matters coming up, UPND deputy secretary general Getrude Imenda has said.

Ms. Imenda said the opposition made unsettled about these two events and made all sorts of allegations.

She said to the disappointment of the opposition none of the issues that they were alleging was part of the discussions on both events.

Ms. Imenda said the problem these that the opposition were advancing politics of hate rather than the politics of ideas.

She said Zambia has in the past years received high level delegation including the United Nations secretary general Ban ki Moon but there was no resistance.

Ms. Imenda said now since that it was president Hakainde Hichilema’s time to lead the country, because they hate him they were trying to fight whatever things he was doing including good thing that were beneficial to the nation.

She said the opposition must learn that the country needs the support of everyone national events that benefit everyone because they were for the good of the nation.
