Mr Mpundu said within almost two years of being Nkana MP,  he had put up a number of developmental projects such that some disgruntled elements   had now resorted to telling lies and misleading the people in the constituency that he had abandoned them.

During a community meeting at Buchi Hall at the weekend, Mr Mpundu advised the people in the constituency to ignore lies from disgruntled people who were using social media to spread lies that he had abandoned them and instead continue to support him as he sets a firm stage of delivery his campaign promises and improving people’s lives.

Mr Mpundu said if he had abandoned the constituency and its people, there would not have been any developmental projects taking place in the constituency.

“Don’t listen to people telling you lies on social media that I have abandoned you. I have not abandoned you. If I have abandoned you, youths who have gotten bursaries to train in skills training, would not have gotten that opportunity. I work in close collaboration with councillors to deliver development in various parts of Nkana constituency. I need your support so that I continue delivering development and improve your lives,’’ Mr Mpundu said.

He said he had concluded his long weekend tour of the constituency during which he held community meetings in Luyando Ward, Mindolo ward and Buchi ward.
