HOME Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu is not being sincere that he will not deregister the Patriotic Front when machinations are already in place to have the former ruling party banned, Zambia Republican Party (ZRP) president Wright Musoma has said.
Mr Musoma said it would be naïve to believe Mr Mwiimbu’s sentiments that he has no interest in deregistering PF when there are signs, which everyone can see that the deregistration of PF is the UPND’s ultimate goal.
He said the new dawn administration was doing the opposite of everything they promised Zambians.
“Only gullible people are going to believe what Mr Mwiimbu said in Parliament because we all know that the UPND wants to extinguish the PF, which at the moment is the biggest opposition political party,” he said.

Mr Musoma said Mr Mwiimbu would have put an end to continued police brutality on alleged political opponents if he was serious about what he said in Parliament.
He said Mr Mwiimbu has an obligation to stop the abductions of PF members because such manoeuvres showed that the UPND was trying hard to silence the former ruling party.
“The minister blatantly lied in parliament and I just want to urge the members of PF not to be gullible and ensure that they keep vigil,” he said.
Mr Musoma said it was shocking that former Ambassador to Ethiopia, Emmanuel Mwamba was brutalized to an extent of losing atooth.
