ZAMBIAN special effects and beauty makeup artist Sylvia Mwashunguti says she is highly inspired by her recent recognition under The 2024 Founder Of the Year Awards (FOYA).
Mwashunguti, who has worked on various productions, especially in film, as special effects make-up artist said winning the Fashionpreneur of the Year award is a big boost to her career.
Sylvia, 27, owns a fashion label called Twitikes Fashion Designs which has seen her rise from the scratch to make her one of the country’s sought-after make-up artist.
Sylvia’s recognition was on February 10, 2024, at the FOYA Southern African awards held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Sylvia’s fashion label showcases traditional handmade jewellery and other creative designs such as redesigning shoes, handbags and among others.
She mainly uses the African wrapper famously known as Chitenje material to redesign shoes and handbags, to make them appear more African.
