‘Win ABSA Cup’

…Zambia Police command Nkwazi to make them proud

THE Zambia Police command has challenged Nkwazi Football Club to make the Police Service proud by flying higher and winning the ABSA Cup and qualifying for the CAF interclub championships.

Zambia Police Commissioner for Operations, Kaunda Mubanga reaffirmed the command’s commitment to support the club in its quest to achieve the set objectives.

Speaking during the launch of Nkwazi FC new kit sponsored by MIRCS Insurance Company Limited, Mubanga, who was representing Inspector General of police Graphael Musamba hailed Nkwazi FC management for being proactive in finding new sponsors.

Mubanga said the MIRCS Insurance partnership is a blessing and comes at the right time when the club needs incentives to motivate players.

“On behalf of the Inspector General of Police, I wish to commend these works done through the partnership of MIRCS Insurance and Nkwazi FC. To Nkwazi FC, I now wish to urge the team to wear and use this kit with pride as you fly the Zambia Police flag in your fixtures and schedules knowing you are ambassadors of the institution,” Mubanga said.

“I also wish to assure you of the continued support of the police high command in all your endeavours. Make history by winning the ABSA Cup and also make us proud throughout the league so that we also participate in higher international competitions such as the CAF championship,” he said.

MIRCS Insurance Company Limited chief executive officer Patrick Mwaba said the sponsorship of Nkwazi FC reaffirmed their commitment to contribute to the growth of sports in the country.

Mwaba noted that well sponsored sports create employment and also contributes to the social well being of the nation.

He encouraged other corporates to emulate MIRCS who have signed a three-year new deal with Nkwazi worth K1 million.

As the official kit sponsors of Nkwazi FC, MIRCS will provide the club with infield jerseys, training kit, track suits, summer kit vests, sweating track tops and rain coats. Zambia Police national sports coordinator, Kwalela Kakoma hailed the company, noting that the new partnership will help mediate challenges faced to manage Nkwazi FC
