Maize imports only after FRA exhausts local market – Kapata

GOVERNMENT has said the importation of maize from other countries such as Tanzania and Uganda shall only happen after the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) has mopped up all the locally produced grain in an effort to ensure that public money is left to circulate within the local economy.

And the government has disclosed that it will soon start conducting a maize harvest forecast to ascertain the extent of the damage the drought disaster could have caused to what had been anticipated to be an unprecedented pumper harvest. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
