I AM not a political cadre but I have a political responsibility as a patriotic citizen, and I just love the potential that occupies and surrounds within this one particular man Hakainde Hichilema.
At the moment, Zambia needs this kind of a person in the national leadership structure for us to trigger investor confidence and to render the much needed credibility on our sovereign rating.
HH has to take up some few pieces from where PF has left by clearly ensuring that healthcare sector is now stocked up with medicine and clinical requirements in the hospitals and clinics.
He needs to seriously take up the national debt issue as a matter of critical attention and the focus should be restructuring and making alignment not to miss any bullet payments required in the coming years.
As a national leader with such personality and character, there is an expectation to see him create market potential based on certain tactical policies that could potentially aid in creating job opportunities particularly for the unemployed youths.
Being someone with thoughtful charisma, there is an expectation that education and mining sectors of the economy will be given maximum policy attention.
Based on his ethos of being a farming personality, the anticipation on this score line is quite revealing that the agriculture sector has a deep scope with his ideologies and will make this sector flourish, whoever will head ministerial portfolio under this jacket will be made to work extremely hard under his close eye to make this productive sector achieve special reality scores.
Rural development is one of his foresight issues sitting closer on his chest, as one person who grew up in the village and has compassion to see this narrative change for many others.
Justice, jurisprudence and other related legal instruments of government operations, on the issue to do with the country’s overhaul justice system, he has to work on the philosophical framework of putting the judiciary back in its orderly structures to ensure that confidence is absolutely retained to this arm of governance to increase citizen, donor and stakeholder’s confidence.
There is a strong need to put certain strategic projects on hold especially those which requires heavy capital expenditures but gradually make some sentimental commitments during the course of this political mandate which goes way up to 2026.

The potential with UPND are seemingly huge, and there are high expectations considering that the UPND is the longest opposition party which has served in opposition under two ruling governments with four Republican presidents.
