UPND women have resolved to embark on nationwide demonstrations against the opposition for continuous harassment of the Speaker of National Assembly, Nelly Mutti.

UPND Deputy National Women Chairperson, Gladys Tavaris, said when a woman is being harassed it means all women are affected, therefore, the UPND will not allow this situation to continue.
Ms Tavaris has also asked the former ruling party to leave Mrs Mutti alone.
She said the opposition in Parliament are frustrating Mrs Mutti because she is a strong advocate for women in politics and leadership.
She said women cannot allow a woman being subjected to torture for merely executing her duties in Parliament.
Ms Tavaris said, the PF need to allow the speaker to execute her duties professionally as this will be for the good of the country.
“We cannot stand idle when a fellow woman is being tortured by the frustrated PF in Parliament,” she said.
