FROM the Health minister’s briefing, I get that impression that Covid-19 is almost everywhere. What are we going to do with cases going up? Do we have the capacity to treat a large number of people if we had 1, 000 cases. This is the time for all of us to think hard and start observing the health guidelines the government has given.
Everyone must mask up when in public. Mwebantu is it so difficult just to wear a mask or akatambala?
Nobody says you must wear surgical masks. Even ordinary chitenge material can be used as a mask. The idea is to cover the mouth and nose.
This mask or cover prevents one from touching their face constantly on reflex and thereby unknowingly transferring germs and other viruses to the face.
So it is really important that everyone should wear a mask. Please, people should learn to heed regulations.
No wonder Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo has been using force to enforce because people don’t listen.
